Privacy policy

This policy explains what information SmartAdKit ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. SmartAdKit is operated by [Legal entity name], [Business address].

What we collect

• Account information: your name and email address when you sign up, and the organization you create.
• Google Ads data, when you connect a Google Ads account: account details (name, ID, currency), campaign, ad group, keyword and ad settings and performance (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, conversion value), the search terms that triggered your ads, your negative keywords, and your conversion action setup.
• Your decisions: which recommendations you approve, reject, apply or undo, and when.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) used to run and secure the service.

How we use it

• To audit your Google Ads account and show you ranked recommendations.
• To make a change in your Google Ads account, such as adding a negative keyword, only after you approve that specific change, and to undo it if you ask.
• To keep a record of every change for your review.
• To operate, secure and improve SmartAdKit, and to contact you about your account.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers below.

AI processing

To write plain-English explanations of findings, we send the findings for your account (for example the names of campaigns, keywords and search terms involved and the related numbers) to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes this data to return the explanation under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to train models on that data. We don't send your Google sign-in credentials.

Google API Services

SmartAdKit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Ads data only to provide the features you see in SmartAdKit; we don't use it to serve ads, and people at SmartAdKit don't read it except with your permission, for security, to comply with law, or as part of aggregated, anonymized operations.

Where it's stored and how it's protected

Data is stored with Microsoft Azure. It is encrypted in transit and at rest. Google access tokens are kept in a dedicated secret store, separate from the rest of your data, and are never shown in the app.

How long we keep it

We keep audit history while your account is active so you can compare results over time. When you disconnect a Google Ads account or delete your SmartAdKit account, we delete the related Google Ads data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your choices

• Disconnect a Google Ads account in SmartAdKit at any time.
• Remove SmartAdKit's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@smartadkit.com.

Cookies

We use only what's needed to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Children

SmartAdKit is a business tool and isn't intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and tell signed-up users by email before they take effect.
